Sparks is a safe, supportive space for writers to share their work.  It is also a place to promote your own blog if you wish.  You are welcome to post your writing with a link to your own site, but we will not publish links without work.

When you post, please participate by commenting on the work of other writers.  ALL COMMENTS MUST BE POSITIVE.

It’s fine to say “I like that,” or “Good poem.”  It’s better to mention specific metaphors, description, dialogue, characters that you think are particularly strong and/or memorable.  Again, no critiquing, just praise.

“Cuss words” are not forbidden, nor are they encouraged.  Use sparingly, not necessarily because they offend, but because they often show a lack of imagination.

No pornography.  No abuse. No slurs.

We’re not putting a limit on length yet.  Please note this forum works best when folks keep their posts short.  How short?  Well, we’ll see.
